Which HPE Aruba Networking products does INCAPTIV work with?
The captive portal works with Aruba Instant and controller-based deployments. Spatial analytics connects through HPE Aruba Networking Central, using location data from your Central-managed access points.
Do we need HPE Aruba Networking Central for spatial analytics?
Yes. Location data is read from Central through its APIs and streams. The captive portal and advertising products do not require Central.
Will it affect network performance?
No. INCAPTIV connects to Central in the cloud rather than to your access points, so there is no extra load or software on your network.
What do you need from us to get started?
For spatial analytics, a set of HPE GreenLake API client credentials and the sites you want to enable. For the captive portal, a few settings on your guest SSID, which we will walk you through.
